This past Sunday our House Groups started serving again for the school year! This year we have 3 serving locations: Little City, the Willow Care Center, and Salvation Army. As a part of your House Group time, you will be serving once each semester at one of our 3 locations. That means with all of the House Groups combined we will be serving 34 times over the school year!
While serving the poor may be something that is consider "popular" in today's society, the truth is that here at Impact we are serving not because it is popular, but because we are following the example that Jesus gave us when he was here on earth. In Matthew 25:40 it says, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." It is with these words of Jesus that we want to go out and reach those in need within our community. This is a command of Jesus that we here at Impact will not ignore, but will respond with great passion and enthusiasm!
