Hey everyone!
We are proud to announce that we launched our serving trips this past Sunday October 17th. We will be putting together service teams to the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, South Africa, and Zambia. If you are interested in being a part of one of our teams you can stop by the Student Impact information booth outside the Lakeside Auditorium on Sunday mornings to pick up a packet or drop by the Student Impact desk at Willow during the week. Below is some of the general information for each of the trips...
Dominican Republic
Saturday, March 26th, 2011 - Sunday, April 3rd, 2011
Open for 9th - 12th grade students
Trip cost - $1,100 - $1,200
El Salvador
Saturday, March 19th - Saturday, March 26th, 2011
Open for 9th - 12th grade students
Trip cost - $1,400 - $1,600
South Africa
Thursday, March 17th, 2011 - Sunday, March 27th, 2011
Open for 11th & 12th grade students
Must be 16 years old by date of trip
Trip cost - $3,200 - $3,500
Zambia
Thursday, March 17th, 2011 - Sunday, March 27th, 2011
Open for 11th &12th grade students
Must be 16 years old by date of trip
Trip cost - $3,400 - $3,800
These trips are awesome opportunities to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ in other areas of the world. We understand that these trips are costly, but students and parents will be guided as to how they can raise money and support for their trip. We cannot wait to see the teams that God brings together this year! We are already praying God's blessing on these trips as students consider which trip God is leading them to apply to.
House Groups Update:
House groups continue to serve the local needs of the community through the Willow Creek Care Center, Salvation Army, and Little city. Students have had a very positive response to serving and have had a very positive effect on those they have served.
